Nomadic Beers launch new beer and Food Fridays

Nomadic Beers launch new beer and Food Fridays

Nomadic Beers is delighted to announce a new beer and a new taproom concept called Food Fridays, both of which will be launching on Friday 14th August at the brewery taproom in Leeds.

Reacting to trade and consumer demand, this week sees the launch of Always Bitter, a traditional British bitter brewed at a session strength 3.8% ABV.

“There has been so much focus in recent years on new and innovative beers, showcasing fashionable global hops, which has been fantastic” said Dr. Katie Marriott, owner of Nomadic Beers. “But you’d be forgiven for thinking we’d forgotten how to make a true classic – British session bitter!”

“Both our fans and trade have asked for something more traditional, so we came up with Always Bitter. We used classic British hops Fuggles and Goldings and we’re really excited to share this beer with everyone” continued Katie.

“We think this is a tasty session beer that will appeal to everyone; traditional ale drinkers as well as those on the look out for different trends and beer styles. It’s a reminder of the great brewing heritage in this country.”

The beer will be available to buy on draught at the taproom from Friday 14th August, in both cask and keg to drink in. There will also be bottles, 3 litre and 5 litre containers available for takeaway or to order online for home delivery. As with all Nomadic Beers brews, the bitter will also be suitable for vegetarian and vegan beer lovers.

It is a double celebration as Friday 14th August will also see the launch of Food Fridays.

“Our taproom has been open a few weeks now and we’ve had some great five-star feedback from those who have come. All commenting on how well we are handling health and safety in a coronavirus world, customer service and the quality of our drinks” said Mike Hampshire, who runs Bars, Events and Press for the brewery.

“The one thing missing though has been food. So, from Friday this week and every week, we will have an independent street food trader join us”

“For the traders, we have waived all pitch fees that would usually be charged to them as, like us, they’ve had a really tough time in recent months. That means everything you spend on food will go straight to them.”

“Keep an eye on our website to find out details of traders in the coming weeks. Expect Cuban, Indian, burgers and more!” finished Mike.

The first trader is Heffe Mojo, a Cuban Street food vendor offering pizzas, Cubanos and ropa vieja, with vegan options available too.

Nomadic Beers Brewery Taproom is open Friday 4pm-9pm and Saturday 12 noon-8pm every week. Food Fridays will run every Friday, with different street food traders each week. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

Nomadic Beers Brewery Taproom can be found in Sheepscar, just a 10-minute walk from Leeds City Centre.
